Ingredients
- 2 can chickpeas
- 2 small carrot, grated
- 1 onion, diced
- 4 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1/2 cup self-raising flour
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp water
- 8 tbsp mayonnaise
- 8 burger buns
- Salad of choice. We recommend lettuce, tomato, grated carrot, cucumber
Method
- Place drained and rinsed chickpeas into a large mixing bowl. Mash chickpeas using a potato masher or fork.
- Add carrot, onion and garlic to mashed chickpeas.
- Add flour and water to the bowl and mix well.
- Form 8 patties from the chickpea mix.
- Heat oil in pan, once oil is hot, cook patties, turning to cook on both sides until cooked and golden.
- Slice the burger buns in half, add a small spread of mayonnaise to the bun, top with burger patty and salad of choice.
