Ingredients
- 900g chicken breast, cut into strips
- 60mL olive oil
- 40mL lemon juice
- 40 mL red wine vinegar
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 ½ cups tzatziki sauce
- 10 pita breads
- ½ iceberg lettuce, shredded
- 3 tomatoes, sliced
- 1 red onion, sliced
Method
- Pre heat oven to 180°C.
- Put olive oil, lemon juice, red wine vinegar, smoked paprika, oregano and pepper in a bowl, combine. Add sliced chicken breasts. Marinate for 1 hour.
- Remove chicken breast from marinade and place on an oven tray, cook for approximately 15 minutes or until cooked through.
- Place one pita bread on work surface, using half of the area of the pita, put even amounts of iceberg lettuce, tomato, red onion and chicken. Fold in half.
- Alternatively they can be rolled up like a souvlaki or wrap.
